Based on a true story…

It was Monday, the alarm clock buzzing again from the third “snooze”. With a groan, I forced myself to get up, dreading the hours, the day and the week ahead.

And I had no choice. At least, that’s what I thought then. A friend of mine kept telling me I needed to spend 15-20 minutes on my career and take this free online assessment called “The Talent Selfie“.

Finally, I did it and was shocked at how a series of seemingly random questions nailed me. Suddenly my focus shifted.

I realized, looking at the report that my job was completely wrong for me. It took the feeling out of emotions and showed me the facts. I am more suited to something almost mirror-opposite of what I was trying to do on a daily basis. 

Having this simple report staring me in the face online gave me the hope and courage to strike out in a new direction. Instead of applying for the same old, same old, I reached for something suited to ME – who I am! And you know what? It’s a whole new world.

Now I don’t even need an alarm clock, let alone hit the snooze!
