Based on a true story…

I’ve been called many things – the black sheep, the square peg trying to fit in a round hole – or just an itinerant member of the “Isle of Misfit Toys“.

A business colleague told me years ago that many people make the mistake of being bound by their job experience or degree. They may hate their job – but hey, that’s what they are invested in, so try again, right?

Wrong. Enter “The Talent Selfie“.

Looking at the results, was almost surreal. How could these simple questions reveal all of this? It was crazy, accurate and gave me hope to embrace who I am.

Instead of trying to fit a job description, I decided to, as Robert Frost so beautifully wrote in the poem, “The Road Not Taken” to take a different path.

I’ll always be grateful for the day where two roads diverged, and yes, living life how I’m wired has “made all the difference.”
